Opinion: Government reforms spell danger for civil justice

I agree, which is why the government's attempts to defy convention and rush this legislation through parliament is so worrying. And there has been no proper risk assessment...if there had been ministers would have seen that their 'reforms' are not only unjust, they are likely to cost the taxpayer more in the long run than they save in ths short term. Interesting news yesterday that there are warnings from inside government about the impact of housing benefit cuts. If we can't win this debate on moral grounds then we'll have to talk the government's language and focus on the money.
