Another great option for students who want to go abroad and volunteer without breaking the bank is the VSO Youth for Development programme. I had a fab year with them between LLB and LPC which gave me a break from studying, a chance to explore a new culture and I was doing really valuable work and gaining new skills. The firm I have my TC with were really supportive as well.
