Tugendhat J rejects bid to refer Goodwin privacy case to attorney general

"Associated Newspapers ...said it was unknown whether the promotion story was known to be false or not, but that misleading information was included in the story to make the reader less likely to identify the claimant." Am I reading this right? It looks as if they are saying that they deliberately exaggerated the seriousness of the allegations against Goodwin (by saying that his alleged lover had been promoted during their affair) and justifying that on the basis that it protected her anonymity!
