I always thought HBJ stood for Halliwells Bust Junket to reflect the scooping up of what was left of the pudding after Hill Dicks, Barlows and Plexus split the insurance division and the Liverpool office between them. Nice to find out that the name actually reflects some sort of link with a merger partner in Scotland. Very interesting.
