Top firms get street smart on social mobility

The level of schooling and subsequent grades achieved is a government problem and it should not be law firms responsibility to try and perform a balancing act. Anyone who furthers this by saying more priviliged children use contacts is, quite frankly, talking rubbish. Only a very very small minority may utilise family contacts for the sake of career progression. This attempted balancing is going too far. Keep it meritocratic and let the government deal with these issues as they are meant to do!
