Howrey boss: shedding 60 partners is all part of a cunning plan

Ruyak is losing it. 1. He says that Howrey "needed to downsize" given advances in e-discovery ... by shedding the co-chair of the litigation department? 2. Howrey "pay[s] associates too much" ... yet Howrey pays associates less than its ostensible peer firms who are doing better? 3. The firm is considering merging with another law firm in the US, and that firm will likely have European offices ... such European offices being what Ruyak cites as a major cause of Howrey's death spiral? 4. Folks are supposed to take comfort in Howrey taking a "one year covenant" with its banks? Isn't that actually a cause for ALARM?! Get out of Howrey immediately, folks. The clock's a tickin', and I don't think Howrey will make it to 2012.
