Sandelson brags about their global litigation practice and cites their representation of Promneftstroy, the Russian company as an example. What Sandelson fails to mention is that Clifford Chance has lost virtually all the Promneftstroy cases. In addition, Promneftstroy is basically a front for the Russian government through Rosneft and its chairman, Igor Sechin, and is hardly a client to be bragging about. Clifford Chance just today lost another Promneftstroy case in the Dutch Court of Appeals in Amsterdam.
