Focus: LGB Careers: Pride and prejudice

I was at the CSET event when one of the Pennington Partners made a discriminatory remark regarding his aversion to hiring ethnic minorities. At the same event a former partner of Macfarlanes was very candid about the fact that the top city firms were very reluctant to recruit individuals who had not attended red brick universities. It seems the legal world is full of negative ‘isms’. I am a 29 year old mixed raced lesbian who attends London Metropolitan University, what’s the chances I even get a call back for an open day!
