Hill Dicks loses ‘whole’ of Halliwells as clients walk

This was a smart move because the Liverpool office was making decent profits and had not been part of the Spinningfields smash and grab so there is no resentment directed towards the partners. HD and Kennedys have done best out of the Halliwells carve up in terms of guaranteed work delivery. Barlows are finding out that you cannot buy yourself on to certain panels but they will do ok. Gateley Wearing scooped up the rump and whilst there are a few talented teams they are struggling to hold on to the assistants and associates and are looking very top heavy. Attracting people to what is likely to be a temporary LLP is not going to be easy and they are failing to retain clients. This will be the least happy "marriage" and a number of non performing partners will be found out and culled within 12 months.
