SJ Berwin-Proskauer merger looms as talks focus on Asia

So, Proskauer are looking closely at their synergies with SJB in Real Estate and Funds. Funny, 6 years ago when Proskauer were in merger talks with Richards Butler, I seem to recall a lot being made of the giant litigation powerhouse that was going to be created. Presumably, someone somewhere has decided that focusing on this type of work is likely to more profitable than claimant litigation! But will SJB's reduced PEP these days be enough to secure this marriage?...it wasn't for RB.
