Hi there, I've just finished my 2nd year of a 3 year Law degree and have managed to secure 3 Vacation Schemes this summer with top firms. My grades in first year were certainly not fantastic and I did have a couple of 2:2s in there. I think there is too much focus on how good grades are and not enough on extra curricular experience. Everyone has fantastic A-levels and GCSEs, this doesn't set you apart from anyone. Getting involved with clubs/societies at Uni and doing voluntary work or pro bono activities made the difference for me. I hope this helps! Best of luck to everyone
