Hi there, You have good grades and you dont need to worry about your first year grades if you have a substantial mitigating circumstance... employers are human and understand our problems sincerely. The difference is in expression... you can be positive and display your enthusiasm to make it up in the future... and the fact that even though you had a mitigating circumstance you did pass in the end! The key is being confident and accepting your weaknesses along with your strengths... be honest... and remember to write your application in a manner that your the employer forgets about your weakness... all that being said...
