Hello, Thanks for the article. It is very insightful. I am a second year law LLB student. I have been able to get very good grades at the end of my first year (a high 2;1 which was a few marks away from a first). However, I performed very poorly in my first year by getting about 5 thirds and 1 2;2. My UCAS points are above the minimum required by most firms and I have some work experience. It is my first year grades that really bother me now (even though it does not count to my final degree) in terms of if it has jeopardised most or all of my chances of getting a training contract. Will firms ever consider an application with such first year grades? Any advice will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
