Well said, I wondered what a few structured finance partners are doing cooling their heels in NY and DC all this while. The thing is, McKee needed to move some of its structured finance "talent"/dead weight to merge with Bingham McCutchen. It simply offloaded the excess to Ashurst. Good for the lawyers involved who would otherwise be jobless, but a rather expensive move for Ashurst.
