I saw an excellent concert production of The Mikado on Sunday. There were many witty topical allusions, but none to current Pooh-Bah-s. I rather suspect that Gilbert and Sullivan's satire will never become irrelevant. In these litigious times, even though not many people will be familiar with the Mikado, I must point out that I am in no way implying that Mr Baldry requires insults as Pooh-Bah does. The similarities are only in their multiple capacities and sources of income.
