Appalling, indeed. As a foreign trained attorney, seasoned in USA I cannot see something like this claim prospering in that side of the shore. It appears that there is a fine line between racial discrimination and formal evidence of it, which is hard to prove it. Something called ethics, that attorneys and legal supporting team have to be reminded of constantly. There is something between the lines conveyed by this article that makes me wonder if it is not the Victorian age we are living in to treat professionals according to their cultural background and then social status in the society. This well written article comes to endorse my own observations of the legal system in UK - it needs to be modern not colonialist. Law is a very traditional field of profession and the wigs cannot represent more this traditional side of it than in fact they do.
