Do KermaPartners work with BLP by any chance? I trained and worked at BLP and the firm is more interested in sweating you for a number of years than making leaders of you! That is not a criticism of them, just the city law firm culture. A lot of lip service is paid to leadership at the firm but the return on investment can be measured in the number of lateral hires made over the years in comparison to the number of trainees that stay and actually make it to partnership!
