What a ridiculous comment. I think these trainees are doing very well to balance their ongoing work responsibilities with acclimatising to life abroad and attempting to take in as much of it as possible. They ARE ex pats - to expect them to seamlessly blend into the local scene in the 3 or 6 months they're given is completely unrealistic. Give them some credit.
