Stonewall Equality Index reveals just four firms make gay-friendly grade

This index is not respected by the LGBT community. Stonewall charges three thousand pounds for organisations to enter and then lets them self-assess their credentials. It is little more than a beauty contest that is specifically structured to give PR to companies - for which Stonewall pockets millions of pounds each year. For gays and lesbians working at small and medium sized businesses - which is the vast majority of us - this Stonewall index is a sad and disappointing joke.
