its fairly simple. Shardul and Cyril dont get along. The delhi office will soon spin off as a separate firm which will position itself to be taken over by a foreign firm, also because it does regulatory work and real estate which is shit work, but necessary local presence for a foreign firm. The meat if all in bangalore and bombay as cyril is a bigger pimp than shardul when it comes to getting in business. Additionally, this is AMSS's attempt at being cool, but i dont know when they will realise that untill they stop behaving like baniyas and cost cutting in stupid ways or being so insecure about attrition (case in point is their ridiculous form to be filled for recruitment full of leading questions), they will never be a world class firm. They have to learn how to make their office environment less bitchy also ! I think the only professionally run firms in India are those who have just been formed recently by young people - Naraswamy Doraswamy Raja , S&R , Trilegal etc.
