Facts slightly wrong here - Privy Council reviewed this as a matter of constitutional process on the Tribunal's recommendation (not CJ's appeal). The Tribunal was set up as a result of the four largest law firms in Gibraltar submitting a memorandum of complaint against the CJ. Still, it's not only Lord Phillips who should be angry - Lord Cullen and the other Tribunal judges had their considered report, with withering criticism of the CJ's conduct, trampled over by the minority as they bent over backwards to protect the his position.
