Travers’ employment team loses partner

This is a firm which seems to be steadily sliding downwards. A number of partners have voluntarily left over the past two years. Profitability has fallen badly inspite of a large number of stealth redundancies (which had a devastating effect on morale). The firm is looking ever more sub-scale, now only about 1/15th the size of the big four magic circle firms in terms of revenue, with the gap growing ever wider. Whereas a few years ago it turned down a merger offer from Latham & Watkins it is hard to imagine that such an approach would even be made today.
