I have practised as a litigator in Saudi Arabia for 21 years, and in my experience the Saudi commercial courts, labour courts and banking courts are good by international standards. Since litigation is treated as confidential, with no law reporting, and there are no court fees, there are no advantages to submitting disputes to arbitration. Prior to writing this I ran my comment past other firms who are highly rated by international guides for their litigation practices, and their views coincide with mine.
