Veale Wasbrough in merger talks with Vizards Tweedie for London launch

Sadly the arrogance of the large firms is reflected in the "are these real" comment that begins this string. Of course there are firms that are outside of the magic circle and are developing business while the large firms cut back and make people redundant. As organisations get bigger they attract people who are happy to work there with the quality of work they offer but who lack the dynamism, flexibility and, one suspects, the humility that is needed to practice law outside of the cocoon of the magic circle. I work for neither of these firms nor have I any personal benefit in promoting them but I know for certain that in 20 years time they and people like them will be in practice while Mr Arrogant Anonymous will not. DLA Piper was as a small Yorkshire firm 20 years ago.
