Reed Smith’s former Hong Kong head of finance John McGuinness has returned to the firm on a consultancy basis after a seven-year hiatus.
McGuinness, who ran the firm’s Hong Kong finance group for 14 years, will head up its aircraft and asset finance group in London.
He is particularly noted for his expertise in representing banks, equity capital advisors (ECAs) and airlines on all aspects of aircraft and asset finance including export-import and European ECA financings, commercial debt, operating leasing and structured products.
Joining legacy firm Richards Butler in 1988, McGuinness left in 2004 to pursue a number of business ventures before rejoining the firm at the end of last year.
