Reed Smith Richards Butler has moved to strengthen its corporate practice with the hire of Crowell & Moring partner Peter Teare.
UK solicitor Teare, who joins as a partner in Reed Smith's London-based European and Middle East corporate practice, spent five years in Crowell's Washington DC office before moving to the UK to launch its London operation in 1995. He held the London managing partner position until 2005.
Teare's practice focuses on the communications, electronics and defence industries, particularly advising US-based companies that supply technology and services to commercial clients and governments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
