THE MAN who headed the merger of Frere Cholmeley Bischoff is to step down from his partnership at the firm.
Former chief executive Tim Razzall, with the firm for 30 years, will retire later this year to concentrate on other business and political interests.
Razzall was chief executive at Frere Cholmeley before it merged with Bischoff & Co two years ago and kept the position at the merged firm.
His other interests include being national treasurer of the Liberal Democrats, deputy leader of Richmond Council and a director of three listed companies.
Razzall said: "I leave the partnership with a cascade of happy memories and look forward to instructing from the other side of the fence the group of highly talented lawyers I have worked with for so long."
Freres chair Frank Presland said: "Tim's contribution to the firm has been enormous and we have been fortunate to have had the benefit of his talent for so long."
