Rally to the causes

The annual boozefest-cum-property conference that is Marché International des Professionnels d’Immobilier (Mipim) brings out the best in lawyers and others in the real estate world, producing as it does a number of charity events. Tulkinghorn gives his kudos to the 16-strong team, which includes Linklaters‘ Christopher Coombe and Norton Rose‘s Chris Hill, who will be cycling some 300 miles in 21 hours from London to Cannes.

The charities are The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, the Sarah Matheson Trust, Architects for Aid and The Tom ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust. Donation enquiries to Peter Murray on 020 7269 0088.

Equally worthwhile, but involving far less physical exertion, is the Taylor Wessing-sponsored rally of classic and modern cars. It takes the same route and the proceeds go to national charity Whizz-Kidz, which provides customised mobility equipment to disabled children. The Taylor Wessing option is much more leisurely, with scenic stops along the way in the Champagne and Burgundy regions. Donation enquiries for the rally to Claire Treacy on 020 7300 4925.
