Edward Hicks has become the fourth new tenant to join Radcliffe Chambers this year.
Hicks, formerly of Guildford Chambers in Surrey, has joined fellow new recruits Mark Thomson, Shantanu Majumdar and Catherine Doran at the set. Radcliffe now boasts 47 barristers, including four QCs.
Robert Pearce QC, chair of the management committee, said lateral recruitments were likely to continue into 2010. “When a set reaches the size we now are, it’s very difficult to maintain its momentum just by receiving starters,” he explained.
