US litigation firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has elected a London associate to its partnership in an eight-strong promotions round.

Matthew Bunting is the first associate to be made up to partner in London since the office was launched two years ago.
Bunting was among the first new recruits for the firm’s City office, joining as a senior associate from Slaughter and May in June 2008 (4 June 2008).
Eight partners have been added to the partnership as part of the firm’s annual promotions round, with the remainder based in New York, Los Angeles and Silicon Valley.
In a statement the firm said: “These newly elected partners bring exceptional strengths and depth of experience in assisting the firm’s clients with their litigation needs around the world.”
The promotions take effect form 1 January 2011. The new partners are:
