PwC recruits ex-HMRC tax litigation head

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has recruited former ­Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer lawyer Ebrahim Ali to its tax ­litigation team.

Ali, a consultant at Freshfields, is former head of tax ­litigation at the HM Revenue & ­Customs solicitor’s office. PwC partner Agnes Quashie said: “It’s an exciting time and I’m sure Ebrahim will play an integral role in the future success of the tax litigation team.”

Ali graduated from the University of Zimbabwe before studying at University College London and Columbia ­University Law School, New York. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1989.
