Proskauer Rose hires four real estate partners

Proskauer Rose, New York's sixth largest law firm, is taking on four partners to boost its real estate and employment practices.

The 450-lawyer firm is recruiting two real estate partners from New York's Battle Fowler.

Peter Fass specialises in tax-advantaged financing for the real estate industry while Stephen Lichtenfeld focuses on corporate and real estate finance and securities law.

Proskauer Rose chairman Alan Jaffe says: "They will increase our ability to provide a full range of real estate financing and securities services to major banks and investment firms."

The firm is more known for its strong employment practice and has taken on two employment partners from Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal to boost that group.

Lawrence Lorber is joining the firm's Washington office and Lawrence Sandak is moving into New Jersey.
