Linklaters advised two clients on major shopping centre deals: the u93m acquisition of the Brunel Centre in Swindon and the acquisition of Wolsey Place in Woking, Surrey. In Swindon the Linklaters team, led by Christopher Coombe, advised MEPC, which acquired the Brunel Centre from Swindon Borough Council, which was advised by Berwin Leighton. In Woking, a Linklaters team led by James Knox advised CIT on the acquisition from Hammerson of a long leasehold interest in Wolsey Place.
