CMS Cameron McKenna acted for Lloyds TSB in the development of the Sofitel Hotel. The deal involved the redevelopment of the former Lloyds Bank Building in SW1. The Sofitel chain is part of the French-owned Accor Group, which owns the Novotel and Ibis hotel chains. Edward Benzecry, property partner at Cameron McKenna, acted for Lloyds TSB while Stephenson Harwood represented the Accor Group. SJ Berwin advised The Crown Estate, the ultimate owner of the building, while Finers provided advice for the developer, which is part of the Marylebone Warwick Balfour Group.
