Private Finance Initiative — PF2: the big re-brand
UK Treasury reforms were outlined in A new approach to public private partnerships and the accompanying Standardisation of PF2 Contracts (SOP2C), which were issued alongside George Osborne’s Autumn Statement.
To the relief of the infrastructure community, the UK Treasury has not ‘thrown the baby out with the bathwater’ and has taken much of the learning generated since the launch of the Private Finance Initiative in 1992 to form the foundation for what it has rebranded as ‘PF2’.
