I read with mounting concern the article by John Malpas in your edition of 30 January.
I deplore the publicity that the president of the Law Society appears to have sought in criticising some members of his staff.
I would have thought it was elementary common sense and the bounden duty of the president to deal with matters such as this away from the press.
I believe that Martin Mears is way out of order in what he has done. It is, I fear, yet another example of his lack of foresight and must be yet another blow to the hopes of all those who voted for him.
