DENTON HALL is acting for 14 leading football clubs and the organisers of the Premiership in a copyright battle against the publishers of a football magazine.
They claim that the company behind Premier Mega-stars, LCD Publishing, used registered club names, badges and logos without first gaining permission.
The Football Association Premier League says the firm, and its directors Allen and Adeline Trump, used its fixture lists.
All the plaintiffs are seeking an injunction preventing further copyright infringements and are claiming damages and delivery up of offending material.
Teams which are being represented by Denton Hall include last season's Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers, FA Cup winners Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
The action is being handled for Denton Hall by Adrian Barr-Smith, the partner who heads the sports group, and Lawrence Abramson, senior assistant solicitor in the department.
Denton Hall says the use of the insignia damages the reputation of the football clubs, and the fixture publication makes use of data which required a great deal of skill to prepare.
