The Curtis trusts and estates practice advises high-net-worth individuals and families, owners of closely held businesses, and senior executives of public companies, as well as financial institutions, foundations and charities on a global basis.
Curtis also advises private banks, trust companies and other financial institutions on developing global tax structures for their high-net-worth clients. Such advice involves estate and trust planning in multiple US and foreign jurisdictions, family governance matters, tax disclosure and reporting rules, and tax law developments in various jurisdictions.
The Curtis trusts and estates team structures the affairs of its US and international clients to achieve their wealth preservation and succession planning objectives, taking into account US, state and international income and transfer tax considerations.
