Pooling together our trusts and estates, tax, corporate, real estate, litigation and other areas of expertise, our Private Client group focuses on the many needs of today’s modern global family.
Chadbourne & Parke’s Private Client group serves as a full-service team to our individual clients, working together to structure and oversee the ongoing administration of privately owned businesses, investments and other assets in a way that minimises estate, gift and income taxes, insulates our clients from liability and addresses long-term planning matters such as family business succession and legacy planning, gift planning, charitable giving and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, all while preserving family goals and values.
In working with our clients, we customarily assist in forming and maintaining family offices, negotiating and drafting prenuptial and separation agreements, counselling public and private charities and representing fiduciaries in estate and trust administration. Our professionals regularly advise and administer trusts, serve as trustees and counsel other trustees on their fiduciary duties and responsibilities.
Our practice is international in scope, with offices in the US, Europe and Latin America. We specialise in managing multi-jurisdictional tax and estate planning issues, including those relating to investments in US real estate and other US-situs property by non-US persons, pre-immigration and expatriation planning, foreign trust structures with US beneficiaries and investments in non-US property by US persons. We routinely work with local counsel to ensure efficient and comprehensive planning.
