We are experienced with both established laws and regulations affecting traditional media and telecommunications services, as well as emerging laws and regulations affecting internet-based services, including cyber-security and privacy issues. We advise clients at all stages of their business lifecycle, from concept through maturity, including some entities that are now market leaders in their industries.

Our TMT group works closely with Chadbourne’s Intellectual Property practice to provide seamless cross-discipline advice to our TMT clients.

We also advise investors, investment bankers and fund managers who are actively involved in providing capital to and facilitating transactions among communications, media and technology businesses. We help investors and advisers understand existing and emerging laws and regulations and advise on how best to structure investments and transactions within the US and internationally. We have helped structure and obtain regulatory approval for mergers, joint ventures, asset sales, marketing alliances and restructurings that include some of the largest transactions in the telecommunications industry.

Where specialised regulatory matters affecting the TMT sector are involved, we represent clients before the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as well as other relevant US agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice, the Universal Service Administrative Company and state public service commissions.
