Portugal's Sérvulo hires banking team from Cuatrecasas

Portuguese independent Sérvulo & Associados has hired a banking and insurance team from Iberian giant Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira.
Partner Manuel Magalhães brings with him a team of six associates from Cuatrecasas’s Lisbon office. The team joins Sérvulo’s financial and governance department, headed by Paulo Câmara.
This marks the second departure from Cuatrecasas’ Lisbon office this year. Manuel Castelo Branco quit the firm earlier this year to pursue personal projects (14 January 2011).
Commenting on the move, Magalhães said that the integration of his team into Sérvulo “offers clients a unique synergy in transactional and regulatory work, one which will allow us to ensure higher responsiveness in all finance and corporate governance areas, in particular banking, capital markets and insurance”.
Câmara added the team complemented Sérvulo’s existing capabilities in banking and insurance law.new
