It is, I am afraid, really true, that the College of Law is now admitting to its courses graduates from universities which were formerly polytechnics, as Helen Cannings reported on your letter's page (The Lawyer, 23 September).
In fact, matters have gone from bad to worse. Last year the college actually appointed an ex-polytechnic graduate as its chief executive.
