Polish days

Senior members of the Polish Bar were expected to be among more than 600 people attending the British Law Days programme in Warsaw last weekend. Organised as part of Poland's British Days event, the programme was designed to present the latest developments in English law to Polish lawyers, civil servants and government officials. Funded by the British ambassador to Warsaw, it included sessions on the supremacy of the law, fundamental freedoms and policies of the European Community and improving justice in Britain. Speakers included Lord Slynn and Professor Sir William Wade, who delivered the keynote address.
