The fallout from DP World's tumultuous buyout of P&O has claimed the scalps of hugely respected legal chief Michael Gradon and the general counsel of P&O Ports Iain Simm.
The pair have been made redundant following the DP World takeover.
Gradon's career at P&O spanned 20 years and culminated in his role as legal and commercial affairs director. Gradon has also stepped down as chief executive of P&O's £1.5bn London Gateway Project in Essex, a role he landed last September.
Gradon told The Lawyer: "P&O was a very happy ship to work in." He added that he is going to spend some time with his family before he decides on his next move.
