Pinsents re-elects senior partner

Pinsent Masons senior partner Chris Mullen was re-elected last week to serve a four-year term, having taken over in mid-term three years ago.

Mullen used the occasion to pledge that he would follow through on the firm’s stated strategy of backing domestic growth, particularly in London, plus targeted growth internationally.

“Over the next two years we want to further expand our international capability in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific,” said Mullen.

The firm has just opened in Dubai after pulling out of its joint venture, Masons Galadari. Its focus is on infrastructure, construction and real estate in the Middle East and South Asia, while it concentrates on corporate and commercial work in China, particularly for manufacturing clients.

Mullen took over the role from Julian Tonks in 2005 when the latter stepped down due to ill-health. His re-election was uncontested.
