Pinsents, Mills & Reeve knock rivals off Trafficmaster panel

Pinsent Masons and Mills & Reeve have landed spots on Trafficmaster’s legal panel, knocking previous advisers ;Addleshaw ­Goddard and Lewis Silkin off the list.

After a competitive ­tender between the two ­winning firms and the
duo that lost out, Pinsent Masons was appointed ­primary legal adviser to ­Trafficmaster, a listed ­driving ;services ;and ­navigation company.

Pinsent Masons Leeds corporate partner Andrew Kerr will lead the client ­relationship.

“I worked with Tim ­Coleman, who was the finance director at Northgate Information Solutions, which was the company KKR [Kohlberg Kravis Roberts] took private,” he said. “I also worked with Tim on numerous other Northgate acquisitions and when he moved across to Trafficmaster as finance director we were given the opportunity to pitch for their legal work.”

Mills & Reeve corporate partner Julian Smith will lead the relationship as ­Trafficmaster’s secondary legal adviser.

Trafficmaster’s products include vehicle tracking and logistics solutions.
