Pinsents makes the grade with Birkbeck role

Pinsent Masons has won a role as the go-to adviser for the University of London’s Birkbeck College.
The firm will be advising on all non-property work, including commercial, employment, IP and branding and student matters, with partner Stefan Paciorek leading the relationship.
Head of the universities practice Nicola Hart said the firm was advising Birkbeck for some time before formalising the relationship.
“Our idea is to invest time in [the relationship] rather than being call-off lawyers,” she said. “We’ve made some promises regarding key performance indicators and I’d hope that if we meet them the relationship will flourish and run indefinitely.”
This comes after Pinsents won a panel place with the University of Sussex, advising on employment, constitutional, student, academic, research, international, estates, IP and technology transfer matters (The Lawyer, 20 July 2009).
