Pinsent Masons has cut the number of new partners in this year’s round of promotions, making up 17 new partners after 20 last year.
This year the firm has focused on building up its national and international spread of offices, with promotions in seven of its 11 offices.
The projects and construction group is the biggest winner, receiving six of the 17 promotions - more than a third.
The corporate, banking and construction departments received two new partners apiece, while property received three.
Managing partner David Ryan said: “These individuals have demonstrated outstanding talent, enthusiasm and a strong track record.
“It is an encouraging reflection not only on them but also on the health of our business, the strength of our reputation across a number of disciplines and our expanding international footprint.”
Pinsents will tip the 300-partner mark with the promotions, with the partnership reaching 301 members when the new partners come into effect on 1 May.
