Pinsents brings in Ashurst funds expert

Pinsent Masons has boosted its growing funds group with the hire of Ashurst senior associate Ian Warner, who joins the firm as a partner.

Warner’s practice at Pinsents will focus on creating investment funds and advising clients on matters involving private equity and real estate deals.

The burgeoning funds group will help support the firm’s corporate practice. Gareth Edwards, head of corporate at Pinsents, said: “Ian’s arrival will help us to consolidate our funds work to date and to build upon it over the next few years to create a substantial practice, which will be an important asset for the corporate group and the firm’s offering as a whole.”

Warner will work closely with regulatory partners Jacob Ghanty and Tim Dolan, who were former associates at Eversheds and SJ Berwin respectively, before they joined Pinsents in November last year.
