Pinsent Masons has hired the head of the corporate legal team at Abbey Bruno Geiringer.
Geiringer joins as a partner in the insurance and reinsurance team in what is the group's second major hire in four months. In March it hired Mike Evans, an actuary and the former chief operating officer of the UK arm of Swedish life office giant Skandia (The Lawyer, 20 March). Pinsents insurance head Martin Memberry said: "This hire is really building on our strategy to push the life insurance side of the market, recognising that there are very few firms that have concentrated on its technical, regulatory and corporate aspects."
Geiringer will join the London Citypoint office at the end of August.
